General Information
The humid subtropical monsoon climate of Nanjing is characterized by temperate weather; four distinct seasons, hot summer and cold winter; simultaneous advent of adequate precipitation, sunshine and heat. Subject to the influence of the Eurasian continental air mass, the weather in winter is sunny, cold and dry. In early summer with the impact of the frontal rain, Nanjing enters into the rainy season with remarkable increase in precipitation and the frequency of downpours and rainstorms. The height of summer follows with sunny weather and droughts. Spring and autumn mark the turn of winter and summer and are marked by dry and cool weathers. A frost-free period of about 225 days is good for crop growth. At times might occur floods, droughts, rainstorms, lingering rains, typhoons, high temperatures, strong convective weathers (including thunderstorms, squall lines, hails, etc.), cold waves, low temperatures, frosts, high winds, fogs and other disasters.Nanjing Weather Forecast
