It is dry with little rainfall in spring, hot and rainy in summer, sunny in autumn, and cold with little rain and snow in winter. The annual average temperature is 14.4 C, with July being the average warmest month (27 C) and January being the average coolest month (0.1 C). Zhengzhou has an annual average precipitation of 632 mm, a frost-free period of 220 days, an annual sunshine duration of 2,400 hours. The fitting temperatures, abundant sunshine and sufficient rainfall in the vegetative season constitute good meteorological conditions for agriculture. The best time for tourism is spring and autumn when it is clear and refreshing.
